I use this watch as an afterwork watch, something that I can beat on. Certain days when I did not have time to change it for work, and no regrets it looks good. I have changed the straps due to all the bad reviews to a Nato strap. I will be changing this again to a metal strap. I think it will look better and easier to put on. I have had this watch for 4 days and very impressed with the accurate time. It has not lost a second in 4 days, and the light is great. Great watch for the money spent.

I've been looking for a different color G-Shock than the usual Black. I found this one at Macy's on sale for $87.00. Unlike some of the G-Shocks, the dial is easy to read for my older eyes (including the weekday) without always using the light. The buttons do have to be pushed harder than the other models (probably what makes it mud resistant) & the elapsed time feature is not as clear, but I'd have to say those are minor annoyances.

I've had this watch for a few weeks now and have been very impressed. It's light, compact and looks pretty good too. I saw another guy last week who was wearing an older running watch - the display was huge! I'm very happy with this Garmin and have worn it as a regular watch a few times too.



I'm also happy with the performance. I'm not sure why other reviews say that current pace isn't shown on the display - it very clearly is. The top third of the display shows total distance, the center toggles between time and heart rate, and the bottom third shows current pace. When you complete a mile it shows average pace for 10 seconds or so, then goes back to current pace. Perhaps there was a software update since the reviews were written - when I connected the watch to my PC and went to Garmin's website an update was automatically downloaded and installed (very easy process) so if I'm being charitable to those reviewers I'd assume that was the case.



The buttons on the watch work really well, and were easy to learn - I don't want to think about how to use them while I'm running, and after the first couple of times using it I don't have to. They feel responsive and solid. I've run in the rain and had no problems with moisture damage.



The link to Garmin's site is also very nice. It's easy to upload your activities, and the information it shows is very clear. I love seeing the maps of where I've been, and using the play feature to see how my pace and heart rate vary with location and elevation changes, plus estimated calories burned.



The only criticism I'd have is that it's not always 100% easy to connect the USB cable to the watch, as they've used a clip thing rather than a port, but I would guess they didn't want moisture to get in the port.



Overall I'm extremely pleased with this. It's given me the confidence and information to run by myself instead of relying on running buddies to keep me on pace, and has been a great motivator for my running, and my times have definitely improved. Definitely five stars

I ride bike and really adjusted my rides to try to get my heart rate up to my 85% range, I had a hard time doing it so I knew I needed to push it more. wore it whiile using my treadmill and elliptical and the monitor read the same as they did so I knew it we accurate. very pleased with this - will buy another when ever I need to.

I love this watch! I bought this watch to serve as my casual watch for working around the house and enjoying all of the great recreational activities here if Florida. I received the watch two months ago, just in time to break it in with a lot of outdoor use. As someone who wears more expensive watches, I have been pleasantly surprised with this Casio. I have swum for many hours with this watch and I have even left it on the bottom of the pool for two hours with no problems. The compass and thermometer work great and I also really like the world time, multi-alarms and luminous features. Great watch for a low price!

If you are looking for a simple GPS watch to use, this is the one. I use it every time I go jogging or hiking. A Brilliant Fitness Tool by Jeffery Suddeth
One of the reasons I always hated exercise was feeling like I wasn't getting results. This watch, along with Garmin's website, helps me a lot because I feel like I am getting instant feedback. I mean, after a run I sit at my computer and without me doing a thing, the watch automatically uploads its data to the website. I can instantly see my progress. With the GPS data, it generates a Google map and plots my route. If I was wearing the heart rate monitor it generates a graph of my heart rate. I can see my times improve, my speed improve, and my average heart rate compared to previous runs. I also use the Footpod. So it shows my cadence. This is an amazing training tool. The Garmin Connect website has a lot of great features and is easy to use. This is a pricey watch but it has helped me get serious about exercise and nothing is more important to me than my health.

Great watch with one drawback by Looney
It is difficult to find a woman's watch with alarm capability. This watch has multiple alarms and is comfortable and good looking. However, with my previous purchase of this watch I realized the material of the band and around the face stretches with age. I read another review where a customer actually lost the watch itself as it fell out of the band. I luckily noticed that the part holding in the face was loosening. I glued it in place but now I cannot operate the on/off button for the alarm. It stills functions, so I just ignore turning off the alarm and leave it on at all times. Since it is a hard-to-find style, I purchased the second one and so far have had no problems.

Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.
